“There’s a Tear in My Code” (WP Heartbreak Edition)
There’s a tear in my code, and it’s breakin’ bad,
Years of hard work, now I’m feelin’ so sad.
You pushed that update, didn’t ask me at all,
Now my whole site’s down, watchin’ it fall.
Oh, there’s a bug where our trust used to be,
I thought we were solid, but you forked me.
You merged without care, left my site in despair,
Now I’m stuck with the errors, and it just ain’t fair.
Matt, you were the leader, we followed your way,
But one wrong commit, and it’s chaos today.
You skipped the review, broke what we built,
Now I’m here patchin’ up all of your guilt.
Oh, there’s a bug where our trust used to be,
I thought we were solid, but you forked me.
You pushed without thought, left my repo to rot,
Now my heart’s in the backlog, tangled in knots.
We were core contributors, hand in hand,
But now you’ve gone rogue, I don’t understand.
One careless pull, now I’m drowning in logs,
Guess I should’ve seen it comin’, through the endless fog.
Oh, there’s a bug where our trust used to be,
I thought we were solid, but you forked me.
You merged without care, left my site in despair,
Now I’m stuck with the errors, and it just ain’t fair.
There’s a tear in my code, and it’s all for you,
Matt, I miss the dev I once thought I knew.
But I’ll refactor this pain, line by line,
Maybe someday… we’ll merge just fine.
Maybe someday… we’ll merge just fine.
